Holiday Shoots and More

Finnish Singers of Michigan Holiday Shoot

Once again this year, we were asked by the Finnish-American Singers of Michigan to film and make a DVD for their groups Holiday Concert, " A Classical Christmas" . This shot went really well. Looking at the pictures one could not tell that there was no audience in the building as we shot this one as a dress rehearsal.

We used two different types of cameras and had to color correct for them in editing. Both the group and ourselves were very satisfied with the results as we monitored the pictures on screens along with world renowned music director Henry Nassco.

Click on the picture to the left for a better view of some of our set ups and how things get done

Novi Choir Holiday Shoot

Pictures to the left are of the Novi Choralaires and the Talacoda Hand bell Quartet
concert we shot on the first and second of December 2006, a first time shoot for us with this group.

This was shot in two different locations both very difficult, as they were in very high ceiling Churches and the acoustics were very echoing. We managed to get stereo sound without echo and the Novi choir was really great to us.

The choir is a division of the Novi Michigan Parks Department.

Costumer Feed Back
Hi Mel...,
Could you start to air this Holiday season again, from Thanksgiving to December 31st the Finnish American Singers Christmas Concert for the 2005 Holiday season, on Channel 12, perhaps some evening hours for those who work days?

The video that Bob and Brandon made should still be in your archives.

We will have another one coming out for the 2006 Holiday season.

Bob and Brandon have been awesome. They have this videography down pat to a professional art with their computer savvy. They have done about four pieces of work for the groups I am involved in, which has helped visibility to a great extent.

Happy Thanksgiving, Mel...!

Best, Vickie K...

    Aug 12, 2006 Northville, Michigan

Timber Ridge Productions takes part at the Cookes School Fund Raiser for the Autistic and Severely Handicapped

Saturday August 12, 2006 Timber Ridge Productions producers Bob and Brandon Tubek were invited to the Cooke School in Northville Michigan for a very special request and event.

A large group of special people from all over Michigan and Ohio were donating there time and efforts to give a major car show for the public to help and donate money to the school and schools in Wayne county for autistic and severely handicapped children.

We were to judge cars and were told to come to the Khol's Corporation tents. Much to our surprise Brandon, Timber Ridge Producer and editor was invited to judge a special car of his choice and present a special award.

One of the shows sponsors, Khol's Corporation Kid's Who Care had made Brandon a "Choice Awards Judge", and had made a trophy with his name on it. The presentation and choice by Brandon came out great, Congratulations to "Mike Dylan" of Ypsilanti Michigan on his car entry

After the judging, and caught off guard, Brandon, because of his efforts to support kids and make a difference in his and surrounding communities was awarded by Khol's Corporation Kids Who Care, Two National Scholarships and awards for the number one place in the store, region and Nation.

Khol's Corporation also came thru by giving the Cooke School for the autistic a $500.00 donation to help the children at the school. All of the proceeds from this event will go to help the Autistic schools such as Burger in Wayne County.

Congratulations to Brandon for his extraordinary leadership, work and support, and a big thank you to Khol's Corporation for their hard work, support and recognition.

    Civic Chorus Feedback

Timber Ridge Productions after filming, producing and distributing a two hour DVD in Northville Michigan in May received feedback from one of our choral costumers. We would like to share that feed back with you.

"Tonight I finally had the opportunity to view the DVD from the Civic Chorus' production " Broadway Memories" that you video taped in May of this year. All I can say is that it is the finest quality taping I have ever seen in the many years I have sung with the chorus!! What an outstanding product you put together!"

"Speaking as Vice President of the Chorus and the Show Coordinator for our upcoming Spring 2007 Show, I want to solicit your services once again. We are still in the very early planning stages of this production, but we do know that we will more than likely be returning some week-end in May 2007."

    Ms. G. L. Vice-President

    Founders Festival Parade Update

The downtown Farmington Michigan parade went off without a hitch, from one to one hundred everyone had a great time. We rode in the South Western Oakland Cable Commissions truck this year down the middle of Grand River Ave. and filmed for public access footage. There were close to one hundred entries in this years parade with a Western theme.

Thousands of well wishers from all over the area jammed the streets and the downtown area as the entries passed by the reviewing stand and cameras. SWOCC public access volunteers and staff walked the route and passed out flyers to make the public more aware of Public Access TV in the community.

    Downtown Farmington Founders Festival

Once again TRP will give it's support to this years Down Town Farmington Michigan's Founder Festival July 19-23 and walk in the parade along side other Public Access users to help out in promoting Public Access Television, the South Western Oakland Cable Commission (SWOCC) and (PEG) Public, Educational and Government Television.

Readers please support your independent film and public access TV, it supports and informs your entire community and you can be a part of it and produce your message for free.
